For an international bank in Utrecht, we are immediately looking for a junior colleague to join the squad Market Data EOD Valuation for a minimum of 12 to 18 hours per week. This job would also be a good opportunity for university students.

Job description:
As a Market Data Student you are responsible for the daily production of financial market data that is used to independently determine the profit & loss of Rabobank’s trading portfolios. You produce market data objects such as Interest Rate curves based on quotes from the financial market. These data objects are input for the daily and monthly profit and loss accounts of the Front Office.

Some key elements of the role:

 • Switch quickly in the event of disruptions and resolve this;
• Supporting the team in maintaining configurations and definitions of the Market Data objects;
• Contributing to Market Data projects, for example setting up new objects, or implementing process improvements;
• Administrative processing utilizing Excel or Python;
• The provision of ad-hoc information for internal customers.

About the department The squad Market Data EOD Valuation is part of the Area Valuation & Market Data which falls under the Tribe Finance & Product Control. Tribe Finance & product Control is an independent control department with a remit to ensure the integrity of the financial statements through preparation and independent verification of daily and monthly P&L, balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation. An important component of that remit is to be the centre of competence for the valuation of fair value instruments. Correct valuation of fair value instruments start with having the correct market data fed into the valuation models.
