We are seeking an experienced VoiP Engineer for a 6-month freelance assignment to manage and support complex enterprise telecommunications systems. This role is critical to ensuring our voice and video communication infrastructure operates with maximum efficiency, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer and support complex enterprise telecommunications systems, primarily using Cisco technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in telecommunication systems.
• Implement new voice systems and services, as well as upgrade and maintain existing ones.
• Develop and execute thorough test plans to ensure high-quality system implementations and upgrades.
• Support business continuity initiatives through strategic planning and system testing.
• Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, system patching, and proactive maintenance.
• Create and maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures.

Required Expertise
The ideal contractor will bring in-depth, hands-on experience in areas our internal team does not currently cover. Specific expertise required includes:
• Certifications: CCIE Collaboration, CCNP Collaboration, MS-721 (or equivalent)
• Hardware/Software Knowledge:
o Cisco UCS hardware
o Samwin Contact Center Suite
o Imagicle Digital Fax Solution
o Akkadian Provisioning Manager
o Cisco WebEx and Microsoft Teams platforms
o Distributed IP TV and Windows Media Services
o Microsoft Active Directory / LDAP, SQL Server, Exchange Server
o VMware ESXi

Deliverables & Success Criteria (SMART Goals)
The assignment is considered complete when the contractor has:
• Successfully demonstrated expertise and operational management in the following Cisco Voice technologies:
o Cisco Unified Communication Manager 14+
o Cisco Unity Connection 14+
o Cisco Meeting Server
o Cisco Expressway (for B2B communication and MRA)
o Cisco-Microsoft Teams integration
o ISR Voice Gateways (ISDN, SIP, CUBE, MTP)
o Call Admission Control and Bandwidth Management
o Cisco Audio, Video, and Telepresence Endpoints
• Ensured high availability and performance of telecommunications systems through documented capacity planning, patching schedules, and proactive system resets.
• Delivered comprehensive documentation and standard operating procedures for all systems handled.
• Contributed to business continuity readiness through active participation in planning and testing exercises.
