About the Business Area Markets
Business area Markets is the Business Division where all commodity flow activities are centralized for the Vattenfall Group. Our activities are multi-site located in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany and Sweden. We trade the full range of energy commodities, take responsibility for the sourcing of power, fuels and certificates and optimize Vattenfall’s generation assets. These efforts are the basis for maximum profitability, continuous business growth and will contribute to Vattenfall’s purpose to live free of fossil fuels within one generation.

What will you do?
In your assignment for Renewables Contract Management in the Netherlands, you will have the incredible opportunity to work in a diverse international setting and unleash the commercial value of our existing portfolio of renewable assets. As assignee, your main responsibilities will revolve around ensuring accurate representation of asset information in operational systems and facilitating precise settlement processes with our clients. This role will allow you to actively engage with a broad stakeholder community, both internally and externally, empowering you to enhance your knowledge and expertise in the dynamic world of renewable energy markets.

Given the time limited manner of the role the main deliverables during this time will be to:
•    Revise and implement the standard procedure for onboarding of new power purchase agreements
•    Own and follow up process improvement backlog for existing contracts both with internal stakeholder as well with external customers
•    Lead implementation of newly concluded deals from signing to first optimization
•    Review performance of existing contracts and conclude potential necessary adaptations
•    Support review of system landscape used in process automation with the ambition to create a future proof setup with even higher renewable penetration in the Dutch energy system

Next to this you will support regular operational tasks as follows:
•    Efficiently fulfill regular obligations for the settlement of renewable certificates and power purchase agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
•    Collaborate with various stakeholders, including regulatory organizations and customers, to address operational matters and ensure smooth processes.
•    Develop and maintain streamlined processes and procedures for contract management and certificate management, aligning them with company policies and industry standards.
•    Ensure the accurate intake and quality of data within maintained systems, providing reliable information for stakeholders involved.

Qualifications
Who are you?
As assignee you should have commercial awareness and experience with managing risks for renewable power purchase agreements and certificates.

Next to this you bring:
•    University degree in industrial engineering or business administration.
•    Several years of professional experience in the energy trading industry, with a focus on renewable energies.
•    Understanding and network in the renewable energy landscape, particularly in the UK and NL markets.
•    Self-managing and proactive attitude.
•    Solid stakeholder management skills, including customer interaction.
•    Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
•    Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
