Language : English and Dutch mandatory
ZZP Allowed : No
Description Vacancy : Software Asset Manager/ License Specialist
At Rabobank we want to pay for what we use, and to avoid paying for things we do not use. As a Software Asset Manager/License Manager you can directly contribute to that goal by ensuring contract compliancy and providing input for license optimization on a global scale.

Software Asset Manager/ License Specialist

At Rabobank, we believe in paying for what we use—and not for what we do not. As a Software Asset Manager / License Specialist, you will play a key role in achieving that goal by safeguarding license compliance and identifying optimization opportunities across a global IT landscape. This assignment is ideal for a hands-on SAM professional who can step in quickly, work independently, and make an immediate impact.

Goal of the temporary assignment

In this temporary assignment, you will take ownership of part of the team’s workload and independently manage a number of key software publishers. You know how to engage stakeholders proactively, keep administration audit-ready, and build trust through accuracy and follow-through. We are looking for someone who can join the team and contribute in a plug-and-play manner, with minimal guidance from colleagues, creating room for the team to focus on tool migration, structural improvements, and major renewals.

Your top responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted SAM partner for CITO stakeholders on software compliance and license optimization
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready records of software license positions
  • Provide clear oversight and reporting for assigned vendors and/or specific areas within CITO
  • Develop and maintain Software Compliance Plans that support sustainable control and improvement

Organisational Context

You will join Rabobank’s Software Asset Management team, a team of five professionals within the department IT Vendor Management. Within CITO, ITVM manages the full supplier landscape across software, hardware, and sourcing. It is a dynamic environment where collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement are key. You will work alongside engaged colleagues and external partners, while being trusted to run your own scope with a high degree of autonomy.

You & your talent

  • HBO working and thinking level, demonstrated through education and/or experience
  • At least five years of proven experience in Software Asset Management and/or License Management
  • Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure and the way software licensing interacts with it
  • Hands-on experience managing SAM activities for major global software publishers; please highlight relevant vendor experience in your CV
  • Able to work independently from day one and proactive in engaging the right stakeholders
  • Practical experience working with SNOW
  • Accurate, analytical, and confident in navigating complex IT and licensing topics
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken
  • Experience in the banking sector is a plus
