Customer Sustainability Manager (Maternity Leave Replacement)


Location: Europe


Contract Type: Temporary Assignment (July – December 2026)


Reporting to: Senior Manager, Global Feed and Food Customers



About the Role


For our client Bunge, we are looking for an experienced Customer Sustainability Manager to provide temporary support during a maternity leave replacement. In this highly visible and customer-facing role, you will act as the key sustainability contact for a portfolio of strategic Food and Feed customers across Europe.



You will work closely with customer account managers, internal sustainability experts and commercial stakeholders to address customer sustainability inquiries, maintain critical customer insights, and support continuous improvement of sustainability-related customer engagement processes.



This role requires a unique combination of customer management, stakeholder engagement, analytical capabilities and sustainability expertise.



Your Responsibilities



Customer Portfolio Management



  • Act as the first point of contact for sustainability-related customer inquiries across a portfolio of key Food and Feed accounts in Europe;
  • Manage relationships with multiple customer accounts simultaneously, ensuring timely and professional communication;
  • Support customer account managers in responding to sustainability requests and requirements;
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather and provide accurate sustainability information.Customer Insights & Data Management
  • Maintain and continuously improve the customer sustainability tracking system
  • Register, monitor and analyse customer sustainability inquiries on a monthly basis;
  • Ensure accurate administration and data quality across customer sustainability records;
  • Manage information related to sustainability topics, commodity segments and supply chain characteristics.

Sustainability Analysis & Continuous Improvement



  • Analyse recurring customer inquiries and identify trends, challenges and opportunities within the European customer portfolio;
  • Translate customer insights into recommendations for process improvements and standardisation;
  • Support the development and optimisation of sustainability tools, FAQs, templates and customer-facing materials;
  • Contribute to the enhancement of customer sustainability reporting and communication.


Executive Stakeholder Support



  • Prepare and maintain detailed customer sustainability profiles for executive meetings and strategic customer discussions;
  • Provide actionable insights to support customer engagement and decision-making;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Sustainability, Commercial, Supply Chain and Customer Management teams.

Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree (HBO/WO) in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Business Administration or a related field;
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role within sustainability, ESG, supply chain sustainability or a related discipline;
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability topics such as deforestation, traceability, certifications, regenerative agriculture, carbon footprinting and responsible sourcing;
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple customer accounts and stakeholder groups simultaneously;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills;
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights;
  • Experience with data management, reporting and maintaining structured information systems;
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently;
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written;
  • Experience within the food, feed, agriculture or commodity sector is considered a strong advantage.

You are highly analytical and able to interpret customer requests, identify trends and translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations. In addition, you have strong data management skills and are able to maintain accurate, structured and actionable customer information.

You are proactive, well-organized and capable of balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Your ability to build relationships, manage expectations and communicate effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders enables you to deliver value in a fast-paced international environment.
