Viterra is currently preparing for several major initiatives, including the Windows 11 rollout, project LD1, and project Sage. These projects place significant additional demands on our RTD Service Desk. To ensure successful delivery, we are looking for a Junior IT Support resource to assist with logistics, administration, and device preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unpack and inspect incoming IT hardware and peripherals.
- Organize and store equipment in line with internal procedures.
- Maintain accurate IT asset records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Perform imaging and basic configuration of laptops, desktops, and other devices.
- Hand over devices to users and respond to first-line questions.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure timely availability of devices for deployment.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware and asset management.
- Familiarity with CMDB or inventory tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Eagerness to learn quickly and deliver within project guidelines.
- Ability to remain professional, patient, and empathetic when assisting non-technical users.
- Representative and service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
