Due to a recent restructuring of management positions within the Legal Department and the leave of one of the members of the team supporting the Business Area Markets we are looking for a temporary Legal Counsel with relevant experience who is able to immediately strengthen the team. 

The Business Area Markets maximizes the value of Vattenfall’s energy portfolio by optimizing and dispatching, hedging and sourcing for Vattenfall's assets and sales positions and serves as Vattenfall’s single energy market access. In the Netherlands the Business Area Markets is predominantly active in the renewables sector in the fields of electricity, gas and capacity/flex solutions, offering(corporate) power purchase agreements to large companies and to operators of wind and solar parks, optimizing 3rd party assets, offering ancillary services and entering into tailormade trading and origination deals within the wholesale energy markets and (large) B2B segment.

What will you do?

On a daily basis you will:

•    Independently draft and negotiate standard and non-standard international energy trading documentation and credit support solutions
•    Ensure awareness of legal risks and regulatory compliance
•    Cooperate closely with the business in order to translate business objectives, goals and strategy into concrete legal advice
Who are you?
You recognize yourself in the following profile:
•    A Dutch Master of Laws (LLM) (Contract law specialism preferably)
•    Approximately 10 years of relevant experience, of which preferably in an international (energy) or trading environment
•    Fluent in Dutch and English
Location:
The work location is Amsterdam, close to Arena stadium and Bijlmer Arena for public transport, but with the opportunity to work partly from home.
