Software Platform Test Engineer
About the job
As a Software Platform Test Engineer you will work in multidisciplinary Agile teams. These teams develop and test the infrastructure software platform(s) for the combat management systems, the radar systems and the optical sensor systems. The development teams are responsible for the entire development chain – requirements analysis, development, integration, testing, validation and demonstrating the current status of the product. As a Software Platform Test Engineer your work will be diverse and flexibility is expected. Working via scrum, TDD/BDD and Cloud-native/DevOps methodologies, the work will vary depending on the project and sprint you are working; this may mean that one week the job requires programming of test Glue code and the next you will utilize your analytics test skills to design tests which test the implemented features by the team driven by requirements. Furthermore, Thales highly values the application of modern technologies and methodologies. The willingness and courage to investigate and implement new ways of working and/or technologies are expected.

About you

You are a talented test engineer who enjoys specify, design, implement and execute (manual and automated) tests for our IT/OT infrastructure components. You enjoy personal development both in hard skills and human skills. Relevant experiences are:

Experience with Linux,
Experience with network technologies,
Experience with software development (Python, Bash, C, C++, Java)
Java is a pre (for writing Cucumber glue code),
Experience with a number of the following tools and technologies,
Git based source control systems,
CI/CD tooling,
Infrastructure as code tools, preferably Ansible,
Container technology,
BDD/TDD, preferable experience with BDD/Cucumber and writing Feature files and glue code
Preferably experience with Agile methodologies, including appropriate tooling (e.g. Jira).
Preferably Tmap/ISTQB certified or willing to get certified
You hold a bachelor or master degree in computer science, IT service management or comparable. Your colleagues are recognized experts in the field and will help you get up to speed and Thales will gladly invest in your development.

Indien u geen G-rekening kunt krijgen (en u kunt hier bewijs van de Belastingdienst van overleggen) dan heeft u ook de mogelijkheid elk kwartaal een accountantsverklaring (assurance report inzake inlening personeel) aan te leveren.
Hierin zal een gecertificeerd accountant (AA of RA) een verklaring afgeven over de juistheid, volledigheid en tijdigheid van de afdrachten. Let wel, de kosten voor deze verklaring komen voor uw eigen rekening.
