Rabobank is looking for a Tech Lead with proven experience in leading teams in complex environments. This role is primarily responsible for leading several teams and Tech Leads working on our Analytics Products.

Domain Tech4D&A
Within the CITO division Engineering & Enterprise Tech, the domain Tech4D&A is the main driver behind the Agentic-driven enterprise and enabler of Rabobank's most strategic objectives: FEC, Customer Insights, Compliance, Agentic, AI and Sustainability. The objectives of Tech4D&A are:
• Delivery of platforms and standardized services with a Rabobank-wide impact;
• Development of sustainable and standardized Data and Analytics products;
• Setting standards and creating building blocks to ensure high-quality development processes and product delivery;
• Enabling other departments by actively collaborating on the delivery of D&A products and solutions.

Domain Tech4D&A provides all IT resources, tools, and capabilities for domain Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO). This domain is divided into Tribe Global Data & Analytics Platforms and Tribe Data & Analytics Products and Transformation.

The position of this senior Tech Lead is within Tribe Data & Analytics Products and Transformation (Tribe DAPT), areas analytics enterprise products and analytics accelerator.

Role
As a senior Tech Lead, you are primarily managerial and integrally responsible for IT Delivery. This includes setting up and maintaining high-performing teams, ensuring secure and compliant delivery processes, and identifying new innovations to ensure future-proof data & analytics product development. Performance and compliance in the context of standards, information security, and risk are crucial aspects.

The two analytics area’s focus on core AI products such as Rate and Tix, and on GEN-AI building blocks to enable Rabobank to adopt GEN-AI and realize usecases. Examples of building blocks are chat bot, summarization, report generation, document generation and others.

Together with your team of 4 Tech Leads, you ensure value delivery, build partnerships enterprise-wide, and create a safe working environment. In our dynamic working environment, you will be expected to identify, initiate, and implement process improvements to ensure good collaboration and create structure, peace, and clarity in a fast and continuously changing environment. Important topics:

• Shape and deliver the new Tech Strategy;
• Simplify the organisation and delivery processes to increase speed;
• Radical adoption of GEN-AI for engineering disciplines to increase efficiency, speed and output;
• Increasing the maturity level of the product teams and the way they ensure value creation within Rabobank;
• Stimulating a real 'engineering culture';
• Improving collaboration with the Global Data Platform to ensure a good user journey.

Profile
As a senior Tech Lead, you have high technical savviness in the field of Data & Analytics. You are experienced in agile working, understand the risk & compliance needs of a bank, and possess a broad interest and opinion on IT trends. Specifically when it comes to AI / Agentic.

You are a self-starter who can take ownership of strategic topics. You have the intrinsic motivation to make a positive impact. To ensure focus and progress, you can bring structure, set priorities, and ensure clear and transparent communication at multiple levels. You are experienced in working in a highly diverse environment, and understand cross-cultural differences to ensure positive collaboration within and across squads.

The senior Tech Lead we are looking for has the following characteristics:
• Academic working and thinking level;
• At least 10 years of experience in similar roles within complex D&A / IT environments;
• Strategic thinking and the ability to ensure strategy formulation and execution in short cycles;
• Comfortable with a “span of control” of approximately 100 employees, you have experience in organizing and managing a team of Tech Leads;
• Strong in coaching and conveying this to others (coach the coach);
• Knowledge of and experience with DevOps teams and scaled Agile (SAFe);
• Relevant experience with issues in complex Data & Analytics environments;
• Extensive experience in software development and Data / AI Engineering;
• Experience in guiding DevOps teams in transition, you have handled complex and mult-dimensional change projects;
• Demonstrable results in guiding teams towards autonomy and high performance;
• Demonstrable affinity and passion for digitization and Cloud technology;
• Mastery of the Dutch and English language (business level, writing and speaking);
• Ability to weigh interests and risks together with the business and maintain a firm stance in difficult discussions;
• Eager to learn and showing a steep learning curve;
• You have not previously participated in an application procedure for this position.
