Senior Software Engineer (Front-End Test automation specialist)

Making a difference
• You will be part of a self-organizing DevOps team, focused on front and back-end Software Engineering (solution development) and staying in control as a team, delivering workflow solutions for the Treasury department of Rabobank.

• You are a team player and help the teams to improve the DevOps way of working, taking ownership into the teams and sharing your knowledge.

• You become the expert in the field of Front-End test automation. You are therefore able to help the team further with the implementation of a robust FE test automation framework. E2E test frameworks therefore have no surprises for you.

• You will be the intermediary between developers and testers in a team that is already ahead in the field of FE test automation. To be an added value for the team, you must therefore have above-average test automation and development knowledge.

• You act as a sounding board and reviewer of the actual daily development work from a testing point of view. This specifically means that you will be involved in code reviews and determining and optimizing the test coverage at various levels such as unit, unit integration and component tests.

• You are jointly responsible for drawing up and implementing a new testing strategy as part of the cloud migration of our apps. The goal of this strategy is to pursue a shift to the left way of testing and a test automation first approach.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. The Treasury WorkFlow squad is part of the eTrading & Distribution area of Markets & Treasury. The Treasury WorkFlow squad is one of the three squads contributing to the strategic eTrading & Distribution architecture of Treasury.

With you
Customer focus, Excellent communication skills, Collaboration and Technologically advanced are essential for the role of Software Engineer with a focus on front-end test automation. In addition, it's important that you recognise yourself in the checklist below:

• Minimum of a HBO work and thought level;
• Extensive experience with End2End test frameworks, such as Cypress or Playwright;
• Experience with modern Front-End frameworks such as Angular;
• Experience with scripting languages (preferably with JavaScript/TypeScript);
• Experience with automating API tests;
• Follow Behavioural Driven Development (BDD) practices;
• You have experience in cloud native testing (preferably for Azure);
• Good oral and written communication skills in English;
• You have knowledge of or experience with Agile project-based working.

Also important to know:

• You already live in the Netherlands;
• Operational support will be part of the job.
