Role: Senior Digital Content & Channel Strategy Consultant (Freelance as ZZP)

Context:
These strategic digital content and channel capabilities are not available in-house. The assignment brings in specialized senior expertise that the core team does not possess, especially in global content strategy, digital-first channel orchestration, Search/Ask optimization, and the implementation of AI- and automation-driven content processes. This is a temporary strategic intervention, not part of the organization’s core operational activities.
2. Results (Deliverables & Milestones)
W&R Content & Channel Strategy Framework delivered (Month 3)
• Defined content pillars, storytelling formats, and tone of voice
• Established channel mix and digital-first governance structure
• Documented collaboration model for Global and Regional Marketing
• Set the strategic direction for paid–owned–earned integration
Content Opportunity Map completed (Month 4)
• Consolidated strategic themes, topic clusters, and channel priorities
• Provided Search/Ask optimization insights
• Identified AI and automation levers for scalable content operations
Activation Plan & Pilot Execution finalized (Months 6–10)
• Delivered a full activation plan with KPIs for awareness, engagement, and reach
• Prepared and approved pilot concepts by Month 6
• Launched pilot(s) by Month 8
• Measured, interpreted, and reported pilot outcomes by Month 10
Training & Knowledge Transfer completed (by Month 12)
• Delivered training sessions for global content marketers
• Produced capability-building materials and documentation
• Established framework for external vendor selection and management
• Provided the complete strategic handover package
Ongoing Monitoring & Strategic Insights delivered
• Interpreted performance data periodically
• Delivered insights and recommendations for refinement of strategy and execution
Specialized Experience & Skills
• 5+ years senior experience in international digital/content/channel strategy roles (agency or corporate)
• Deep expertise in digital-first content strategies and multi-channel orchestration
• Experienced with governance frameworks and global–regional collaboration
• Strong analytical and KPI-driven mindset
• Comfortable with measurement, insights, and optimization cycles
• Excellent Dutch and English communication skills; experienced trainer/workshop facilitator
