As an IT Vendor/Procurement/Contract Specialist you will operate to support our existing Sourcing, procurement, and vendor manager with the current demand. You will operate in the CIO office that consists of 20 people, located across various countries.
Within the CIO office there is a demand/supply team that integrates various IT services and suppliers to deliver state of the art services to our employees, regardless of their location that can be used anytime and anyplace. The demand/supply organisation works according to Service Integration and Management (SIAM), to allow using a best of breed approach in the supplier landscape.
For the upcoming period there are several projects starting that require a temporary expansion of the capacity for which we are seeking an external consultant to assist for approximately 6 months.
Job Description:
The IT Vendor/Procurement/Contract Specialist is responsible for negotiating deals with vendors to procure IT services and products. This person can also be involved in running request for proposals (RFP’s), analysing contract sets, agreeing to split IT service and contracts to ensure continuity after unbundling and conducting stakeholder analyses. The IT Vendor/Procurement/Contract Specialist must have excellent negotiation skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of the IT industry & technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate deals with vendors to procure IT services and products.
• Run request for proposals.
• Unpack contract sets.
• Conduct stakeholder analyses.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that IT procurement aligns with the organization’s goals.
• Support other departments regarding contracting/procurement when they seek expertise (e.g. support of the finance team in travel discount contracts can be an option)
• Manage suppliers to meet the agreed deliverables, either project or ongoing services (SLA’s).
• Manage, adjust and terminate contracts in alignment with the existing Sourcing, procurement and vendor manager
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT procurement.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of the IT industry.
• Team player
• Strong communication in English
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Helicopter view to analyse how IT services are composed.
• Be up-to-date with the latest trends in the IT industry, especially with cloud services and ‘as a Service’ (XaaS)
