Enexis is transforming into a high-tech IT company. For example, more and more departments are using process orchestration and business process modeling to automate their processes and workflows. At Enexis, we chose to adopt the open source Flowable technology in a Node.js/TypeScript stack in an AWS/Kubernetes context because of the performance and cost advantage and it is working very well for us. Many solutions have already been successfully realized, and the adoption is growing.

We are looking for a platform engineer supporting the internal Flowable business process automation platform. The project will concern migrating our existing Flowable platform to a custom Kubernetes setup built with other grid operators. Additionally, we want to improve the platform so that the stream-aligned teams can focus on building the best BPA applications possible where the platform team makes sure those workloads can be brought to life in the most secure and robust way possible.

What will you be doing?
You will work as a platform engineer in the field of process orchestration in a dynamic environment of product owners, architects, and engineers in a SAFe Agile context. You will be part of the Flowable platform team, they serve as the go-to partner for help and assistance for all stream-aligned teams using Flowable.

What do we expect?
- You have 10+ years experience as a full stack software developer in a Node.js/TypeScript/Java stack. If you have worked as a lead developer that is a plus.
- You have hands-on experience in Flowable or similar BPA/BPM packages or process orchestration packages such as Camunda/Airflow or you have a demonstratable affinity in this area. Additionally, you are well familiar with BPMN and the tools available.
- You are an experienced hands-on business process automation (BPA)/platform engineering expert, and you have a proven track record in modeling complex business processes and implementing process orchestration solutions.
- You have more than 3 years experience with Kubernetes in a cloud environment.
- More than 5 years of experience in building and maintaining CI/CD (Gitlab/GitHub)
- Familiar with common architecture principles such as ArchiMate / TOGAF / C4
- You are experienced in implementing REST and SOAP services and you are experienced in optimizing code for a documentDB, such as MongoDB.
- You are a communicative team player. You are curious by nature, and you are not afraid to ask colleagues about the functional, technical and organizational issues you encounter. You produce suggestions when you think things could be improved.
- As a DevOps professional, testing software components and answering maintenance questions is second nature to you. These things come natural in a SAFe Agile organization.
- You have knowledge of several of the following technologies and expertises: Dynamic Case Management, Data analytics, RESTful API’s, REST principles, SOAP services, SQL/NoSQL, HTML5, CSS3, CI/CD tooling, JIRA, GIT, Security.
- Previous governmental experience is a plus.
- Master’s degree in informatics/computer science is a plus.
- Good command of the Dutch and/or English language.

Team and Culture
You will be part of the process automation platform team, a small team of enthusiastic professionals working on a wide range of platform features.
You will have the freedom to autonomously work on problems in a SAFe environment.
We come together on Wednesdays in Den Bosch but we would like to see you in the office on other occasions such as planning events, retro’s as well.
